Living Values Education Programme (LVEP) is a comprehensive values education programme that provides resources for values–based education, including training and a wide variety of experiential, values–based activities and methodologies for educators, facilitators, parents, and caregivers. Education in values has been identified as a pivotal need in our society to help address the concerns and effects of violence, social problems, and crime. In South Africa the program is supported by the National Department of Education and has been implemented at various schools in all the provinces of South Africa and to date approximately 10 000 teachers have been trained in the living values methodology. The program is OBE friendly. The program is implemented in schools, childrens homes and street children agencies.
